Sniper Guns from Czech Repbulic: CZ 700 M1
The CZ 700 M1 is a new rifle, but CZ has been making quality rifles for many years. The 700 M1 uses a laminated wood stock, which is better then standard wood, but still flexes more in changing weather then a synthetic stock ever would. The stock is easily adjusted with external knobs, but those same knobs may also get in the way and be knocked lose while in the field, some lock tite might be in order once you have the stock adjusted to the desired position. The trigger is fully adjustable externally, which is always a nice feature, and I love the large bolt handle. The bolt has 6 locking lugs and the weaver style site rail is permanently attached to the rifle. The forearm of the stock has an accessory rail for a hand stop with spigot for parker-hale or versa-pod bi-pods or other accessories. The 10 round detachable box magazine is nice, and even fits flush to the stock to prevent awkward handling.

Sniper Guns from Czech Repbulic: CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar
I do not normally review .223 rifles, as the caliber is not sufficiently suitable in the sniping role. (Read here to find out more http://www.snipercentral.com/223.htm). But, I was looking for an accurate and affordable to shoot practice rifle, just to get trigger time. At the same time, I have been hearing some good things about the CZ 527 Varmint rifle, and decided it would fit the bill nicely, and I'll review it for possible law enforcement use. So out I went to pick up a CZ527 Varmint Kevlar. This was suppose to be a bargain rifle, but to be honest, the price was more then I thought it would be for a "bargain" .223. The cheapest I could find it locally was $610 USD. Now that I had the rifle, I brought it home and examined it closely.

Sniper Guns from Yugoslavia: Yugoslavia M-76
The M76 is a modified AK-47/74 that has been accurized with a longer and heavier barrel and a modified stock that is more comfortable and ergonomical. The M76 has also been chambered in 7.92x57 Mauser, a much better long range caliber then either the 7.62x39mm or 5.45x39mm calibers of the rifles its derived from. The M76 Teloscopic sight is essentially a Russian PSO-1 with active IR illumination detection ability and a lighted reticule. Its calibrated with a BDC out to 1200 meters, but thats fairly optimistic for the performance of the rifle. The rifle also comes with a 5x80mm passive night vision scope, which appears to be about the equivilent of a gen II night vision device. (Good to about 500 meters on a bright moon, clear night).

Sniper Guns from Japan: Howa - Supreme Varminter
Believe it or not, Howa has been building quality barrels and actions for a long time. Howa is based in Japan and generally has always built barreled actions for other companies (S&W & Weatherby to name a few). The barreled actions are high quality, and have a very good reputation. Legacy Sports International decided to import the barreled actions into the USA, and even decided to take it one step further, and started mating barreled actions to very nice Boyd's stocks. They have several different versions, but what we are interested in most are the varmint rifles, which can easily double as a tactical rifle. This review would have never happened if it were not for Matt Koenigsberg from Kings Mountain Feel free to contact him if you have purchasing questions about these rifles. Matt contacted me and was very willing and eager to have me evaluate one of these rifles. He was confident enough to send me out a new in the box rifle, never been fired, no tune ups, nothing. A fresh factory rifle, and he was confident
it would shoot down around .5 MOA. Did it? Read on to find out.
